Enjoy Mini-Golf Alongside Fascinating ‘Guests’ at This Illinois Arboretum
If I pass a mini-golf course when I'm traveling, and I have the time, mini-golf becomes a part of my vacation. They are not hard to find. And now that you can tell Siri to find you the nearest course, it's even easier.
A few years ago, we spent some time at Volcano Falls in Rockford IL, and, as it turns out, that isn't very far from Lisle IL where another unique mini-golf experience awaits. Northern Illinois kicks serious butt in this department.
But mini-golf isn't the only thing you'll encounter at the Morton Arboretum, which will feature an exhibit called "Of the Earth" through spring of 2025. These special "guests" of the arboretum will blow your mind. Imagine visiting without realizing they're on display.
The outdoor exhibit features the work of Polish artist Olga Ziemska who created these startlingly beautiful sculptures using pruned tree branches and other natural materials located on the arboretum's 1,700 acres.
As for Wonder Woods Mini-Golf, it's a brand new attraction at the Morton Arboretum and just in time for summer fun. BONUS: this mini-golf course was inspired by science, so you can educate AND land a hole-in-one.
The Morton Arboretum offers events throughout the week and on the weekends for a variety of tastes. Plus, the Acorn Express Tram Tour is available for a relaxing and informative jaunt across the grounds.
If you're looking for something a little different for a short summertime getaway, the Morton Arboretum in Lisle sounds pretty perfect. That it's a short distance from Chicago only adds to the allure.
