The weekend was very interesting with the cars in my life.  Caddy has a little trouble outside of Crossville Tennessee and I have to get it towed and repaired.  The thing about that is that I was still two hours away from where I was going and three hours away from Owensboro.  Tight spot.  So I got a rental car a few days later and enjoyed the rest of Wharff Weekend in Gatlinburg.  Remember Chad getting on me about how all of the family gets matching t-shirts?  The picture is at the bottom.

Take a listen to MotorCast!

The rental wasn't bad honestly.  It's a change from a Cadillac, but she's back now, and everything is just fine.

When it comes to Elio Motors, we are starting to see a breakthrough in vehicles.  It's really something.  Three wheels is considered a motorcycle so you get to take this puppy through the car pool lane, no matter what.  Also, as we mentioned, this thing get 84 MPG, has all the regular things you would find in a new car, like GPS, lane detection, and even traction control and MP3 connectivity.  Better MPG than the Prius and the Smart Fortwo, and it's a fraction of the cost with a price tag of just $6,800.  There isn't a whole lot of power, but it makes up for it with the other numbers.  Just a little three cylinder engine producing 55 HP's in the prototype model, and it is expected to be higher than that when full production begins sometime in early 2015.
