New Animatronic Buddy the Elf Christmas Decoration is Totally Terrifying

Animatronics can either be cool or nightmare fuel. In this case, I think you can probably guess just by looking at the picture.

Home Depot has hit some real home runs in recent years with its holiday decorations. The gigantic skeletons that went viral and popped up in yards all over the country come to mind. Their newest addition to the store could play double duty for Christmas or Halloween as it is very...well, scary-looking.

A six-and-a-half-foot Buddy the Elf would look just like Will Ferrell's portrayal in the holiday favorite, Elf, if it wasn't for the unfortunate face. As Buddy's dad Walter said in the movie, "Who signed off on this?!"

And everyone is pointing out the worst part. The eyes. They stare through your soul and right into the nightmare-inspiration part of your brain. This creepy thing also says twelve phrases from the movie in Buddy's voice. When he yells, the quality of the recording sounds like there may be demon inside.

At least if you buy K-Mart Buddy the Elf, you'll get your money's worth. Just put him up on October 1st and leave him there til New Year's! It's a steal at only $199.99.
