I cannot think of another country singer who puts me in the Christmas spirit quite like Dolly Parton.

And I can't be alone since her last Christmas movie, Christmas of Many Colors, was such a big hit AND picked up a 2017 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Television Movie. I saw it. It was good. So was its predecessor, Coat of Many Colors.

Her holiday specials from the 80s and 90s--Kenny & Dolly: A Christmas to Remember and Home for Christmas--were also hits.

And you can always count on Dollywood for something special at Christmastime.

Oh, and I almost forgot, she'll release her brand new Christmas album this Friday, October 2nd. It's called A Holly Dolly Christmas.

In fact, here's a sample from that album. It's her cover of "Mary, Did You Know?" Check it out:

So you'll have just a bit more than seven weeks to immerse your self in classic holiday and Christmas covers from Dolly before the release of her brand new movie which Netflix is set to premiere on  November 22nd.

The new holiday offering stars Dolly Parton, The Good Fight's Christine Baranski, Black-ish's Jenifer Lewis and Treat Williams and tells the story of a very wealthy woman who heads back to her hometown after her father dies in order to evict everyone in it just before Christmas, according to Variety.

Sounds like a classic "Scrooge" theme, doesn't it?

Dolly plays an angel in Christmas on the Square, which makes perfect sense. She also wrote the musical film's 14 original songs.

Sounds like another big hit waiting to happen.

'Tis the season to deck the halls with lots of Dolly...fa la la la la la la la la.
