Early Winter Forecasts for Kentucky are Predicting Lots of Snow
I admit it, I am OVER the heat and humidity of summertime. Call me a wimp if you want, but unless I have a really good reason to be outside i.e. swimming, concert, cookout, etc. I just stay inside. I am a "delicate flower" and cannot physically handle being overheated.
So, like some of you, I've become really good friends with my air conditioner as we've experienced yet another record-breaking hot few months. The triple-digit indexes and swampy thick air has me dreaming for snowflakes! Or at least, cooler temperatures. I'd rather my teeth chatter when I walk outside than my glasses fog up and forehead start to sweat.
So what is this upcoming 2024-2025 winter going to look like? The NOAA National Weather Service has released an early forecast prediction. La Niña returning is the focal point of this Long Lead Seasonal Outlook. While its still pretty early to set anything in stone, that typically means the Southern United States will see dry warm weather and Northern states will experience more cold and wet days later this year.
