Ohio County Man Finalist in USA Mullet Championships
I'll start out by saying I'm almost 46 years old, thus I lived through many years of lots of hairsprays, big hair, and the almighty mullet. I was a hair metal fan (wait! I still am!) so I saw many types of "business in the front, party in the back" styles.
The "Kentucky Waterfall", the "Tennessee Top Hat", whatever you all call it, the mullet has never really gone away. In fact, the earliest mullets go all the way back to the 6th century during the Byzantine Empire. One of the most prominent mullet wearers in the 21st century is country star, Morgan Wallen.
All I thought was, "this guy must be the second coming of Billy Ray Cyrus, in terms of mullets". Cyrus's mullet was epic and Big Scott Collard of Beaver Dam has a similar mullet. Now Collard is in the running to win the Men's Open Division of the USA Mullet Championships.
I used to know Scott's cousin George. George would occasionally play drums for the pep band at Ohio County High School basketball games. Yes, George had a mullet, but I think his cousin has him beat.
There are 25 finalists and Big Scott has a chance to win a cash grand prize of $2,500, bonus prizes, and a golden mullet trophy. Do you remember Dave Spencer's mullet days?
So, Big Scott needs your votes, go HERE. You can vote once a day through Sunday, August 29th at 11:59 pm EDT.
