One Kentucky Thrift Store Getting Community Ready To Go Back To School [PHOTOS]
Summer is all but gone and families are preparing to head back to school. One Kentucky Thrift Store is helping get everyone ready in a big way.
WHAT IS THE COMMON GOOD COMMUNITY STORE?
The Common Good Community Store offers clothing, shoes, jewelry, household items, and more at rock-bottom prices. The money made goes directly back into the community. It is located inside Owensboro Christian Church at 2818 New Hartford Road.
The store has made it its mission to help "the common good" of the community. The money that is brought in through sales from the store goes directly back to the community for their needs.
One of the amazing things about the store is all the staff are volunteers. This helps the funds raised to strictly go to the need. Anytime you make a purchase in the store you are directly giving back to our community.
BACK-TO-SCHOOL BARGAINS
No matter how much money a family makes let's just be honest school supplies are expensive. The Common Good offers school supplies at a discounted price and anyone is welcome to take advantage of the deals.
I visited last week and was able to finish the items on all my kid's school lists for right at $10. It saved me a huge amount of money and I am giving back so it's a win-win.
EVEN MORE DEALS
As if getting discounted school supplies wasn't enough of a deal they are also having their adult BOGO clothing sale. Meaning you can buy one item and get a second for free! This is a huge deal because the items are just $2 a piece normally so you are getting them for $1 apiece. They have everything from shirts to dresses, work clothing, maternity, and more.
STORE HOURS
The Common Good is not open every day. They are only open Tuesday and Thursday each week from 9 a.m.-Noon.
