Love at First Bite: Owensboro Baker Carries On Grandma Rosie’s Legacy
For the past week, we have been giving you previews of Owensboro Pizza Week. There are over 20 options to choose from, so to help you narrow down your list, we've made taste-test videos. For your enjoyment and ours too, to be honest.
Today we welcomed Sebree Brown and her bestie and business partner, Hannah, to the studio to try their "Love at First Bite" cookie pizza. They are the duo behind Rosie Helen's Treats & More. Here is the official description:
An 8-inch sweet potato cookie pizza topped with apple butter, pumpkin-orange buttercream, caramelized shaved sweet potatoes, toasted marshmallows, buttery brown sugar crumble, and white chocolate shavings. Inspired by Southern sweet potato casserole and grandmother Rosie’s Georgia roots.
Let me just tell ya, it is appropriately named. You know when something is made with love. It wraps your taste buds up in a hug as you do your little happy dance and close your eyes. That's what this sweet potato goodness makes me think of. Something special served up at Thanksgiving, sprinkled with the magic of a Southern grandma.
You could say Sebree "understood the assignment." Not only when it comes to her Pizza Week creation, but also in honoring her sweet grandmother. Rosie Helen welcomed anyone who needed a plate to come eat at her table. Sebree has most certainly kept her legacy alive and well.

Even though Rosie Helen's Treats is a relatively new cottage bakery, half of Owensboro has enjoyed her creations already. You probably have, and might not have even known it, because it was actually served up on a burger. Kim's Diner's award-winning "Sweet & Spicy Bacon Jammyyyyy Burgerrrrrr," as she called it, won The People's Choice for Owensboro Burger Week 2025.
The Diner sold 3,648 of those burgers, but Sebree was the mastermind behind that Sweet & Spicy Bacon Jam that was so dang delicious. Folks were trying to buy it by the gallon, and they still beg Kim to bring the burger back for specials.
If you follow Rosie Helen's Treats and More on Facebook or visit her website, you can find out where they will be set up each week. She is often at Kim's Diner or the Owensboro Regional Farmer's Market. You can also check out her menu and place pre-orders.
