Owensboro’s Boutique 54 Now Open in New Location [PHOTOS]

For almost 11 years now, Boutique 54 has been a shopping staple on the East Side of town for women of all shapes and sizes. The first time I shopped at the former location, I was looking for a dress to wear to a WBKR St. Jude Denim & Diamonds fundraiser. I found a BEAUTIFUL blue velvet swing dress that I have since worn on many occasions.

Rhonda and I chit-chatted as I looked around, and she told me about all of the brands she carried. Something I really appreciate about her store is that she makes an effort to be as size-inclusive as possible. We are in a bit of a fashion desert here in Owensboro unless you like to shop at the discount stores. That is ESPECIALLY a problem for anyone over a size large.

When it comes to clothes that are plus-size AND cute, we have even fewer options.  Rhonda has our back, though, y'all! For instance, she carries the VERY popular blue jean brand, Judy Blue. They are stretchy, yet firm, so they hold everything together just right (IYKYK). For certain styles that don't go up to say, size 3x, there is another brand ladies love just as much. So soft and comfortable, yet stylish.

At the end of last year, Rhonda made an exciting announcement. She decided to move her store to a new location in Ritzy Plaza. Still on the same side of town, just put 4531 Hwy 54 Unit 3, Owensboro KY, 42303 into your GPS and you won't miss it. The hours are still Monday-Saturday 9-7 CST. Here is a sneak peek inside:

Colorful tops and dresses line the walls to get ready for Spring, with some adorable sweaters to remind us we aren't quite there yet. "I am so proud of this new space, it's so bright! So much light," Rhonda told me, "This inventory is all fresh and new. I can't wait for everyone to come see it."

Speaking of those Judy Blues jeans, I finally got a pair! Rhonda has been telling me about how awesome these things are, but I've never tried them on. I did when I was there today and had to take them home with me. They were a size down from what I usually wear and fit like a glove, so consider me on board that bandwagon!
