Owensboro, Kentucky Appliance Company Donates Much Needed Gift to Animal Rescue
To start the new year, Saving Paws Animal Rescue of Kentucky has been busy. They've had many happy adoptions and saved a litter of puppies. They also had both their washer and dryer quit working. Luckily, they have many beautiful companies in town willing to step up to help!
During Christmas Wish, I see many businesses who step up to help the mission. We couldn't help so many needy families without their support. I always say that we live in one of the most giving communities around, and it's so true. Luckily, a local appliance company stepped up to help SPARKY. It warms this pet lovin' heart!

SPARKY ANNOUNCES DATE FOR "BARK IN STYLE"
SPARKY GIFTED WASHER & DRYER
The new year started a little rough for the volunteers at SPARKY.
In true New Year’s fashion, we are starting it off with a bang!! A bang from our washing machine and it is no more. So we are on the hunt for a new one. If anyone has one they’d like to donate, our animals would surely appreciate it. (And so would the volunteer who is spending some of his time at the laundromat). If you have new appliances for Christmas and need someone to take your washer off your hands, please message us! Thank you and Happy New Year.
The need was filled almost immediately by Julie Dague. John Austin and Dustin Collins moved it into its new space. But, wait there's more!
Not too much longer after that, their dryer broke down. And, again. The request was filled almost immediately. This time from an anonymous donor with the help of Murphy Appliance Company in Owensboro.
We started in 2024 with not such good news. Our washer had to be fixed and our dryer gave up on life. Huge thank you to Murphy Appliance Co. and an anonymous donor for the brand-new commercial dryer. We are so lucky to be a part of such a caring community!
That’s why you shop locally and with small businesses! Shout out to Murphy’s Appliance. - Lura Mcelhearn
Big shout out to everyone involved in this blessing! - Tina Rager
