One of the most fascinating developments on the highway in recent years is the emergency of three-wheelers, and I'm not talking the off-road kind.

Polaris Slingshot

The Polaris Slingshot went into production in 2014 and quickly began populating America's roadways by 2015. If you are unfamiliar with a Polaris Slingshot, they are motorized trikes--either with two wheels in the front, one in the back, or vice versa. You probably ARE familiar with them but may not have known what they are called. I think they're incredibly cool and would love to try one out.

Bluegrass 3 Wheel Classic

If you are an enthusiast, or if your intrigue regarding Slingshots is at a fever pitch, you'll want to spend time at the Owensboro Sportscenter on the weekend of June 6th through June 8th. That's when the Bluegrass 3 Wheel Classic makes its debut, allowing fans to get an up-close look at hundreds of motorized three-wheelers, and not just Polaris Slingshots.

The event is presented by Armour Custom Works out of Jacksonville FL and, according to organizer Jarrell Armour--the co-owner of the company along with his wife Cynthia--will offer the three-wheel community three days of excitement, live music, and "good vibes." Bring it. We all need all the good vibes we can get. Check out some of Armour's custom rides:

And, as you can see, the Armours rarely take long breaks.

What to Expect at the Bluegrass 3 Wheel Classic

The Bluegrass 3 Wheel Classic will feature awards in many categories: Best paint, best interior, best wrap, best theme, and best in show. There will also be a sound competition. And then, five-man teams will compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals in the Armour Custom Works Slingshot Olympics.

You can learn more about these 3 Wheel Classic on the Armour Custom Works Facebook page.
