Owensboro Pentatonix Musician Featured in New Netflix Movie ‘Meet Me Next Christmas’

OK, so I know we haven't even gotten to Halloween yet, but I have some Christmas news for you! This is special, so I'm sure you'll understand. Plus, I know some of y'all love to watch holiday movies all year round. Store aisles are already stocked with tinsel and ornaments, so some of you may even be shopping and planning your decorations for the season already.

I have a movie recommendation for you to add to the top of your list once you are in the mood for some Christmas cheer. It just so happens to feature one of Owensboro's own, Kevin Olusola. Anyone who can say "I knew him when," is super proud to say he's from little old OBKY. I know I am! I went to school with Kevin until he left for Phillips Academy-Andover when we were in high school.

He's always been an incredible musician and an even better human, so when he joined the acapella group, Pentatonix, for the competition show, The Sing-Off, we rooted for them every week until they won. The rest is history, now that they have won multiple Grammys and perform sold-out shows worldwide.

They've also landed some acting gigs along the way including hosting their very own Christmas special. Because of their amazing Christmas albums, They've become a must-listen for lots of folks during the Holidays.

You'll also see them in a brand new Netflix movie called 'Meet Me Next Christmas.' Starring singer/songwriter/actress Christina Milian, it will be available for streaming on November 6th. An early Christmas gift, thanks Netflix! Here is the synopsis of the movie:

"In pursuit of a fairy-tale romance with the man of her dreams, Layla (Milian) must race through New York City to get her hands on the hottest ticket in town: the sold-out Pentatonix Christmas Eve Concert. At the show, she hopes to reconnect with the dashing James (Kofi Siriboe), a love interest so charming, he’s the only present Layla wants under her tree this Christmas."
