Owensboro Police Department Identifies Kidnapping and Auto Theft Suspect
The Owensboro Police Department needs our help finding the suspect in Tuesday's kidnapping and auto theft.
Dave Spencer reported yesterday that a car was stolen with a 5-year-old child inside Tuesday in Owensboro. A suspect has now been identified and OPD needs our help locating the suspect. Do you know the whereabouts of Jordan Terry?
According to a press release that we received just moments ago, the Owensboro Police Department has identified the suspect involved in the kidnapping and two auto theft incidents that occurred on Tuesday, April 10th, 2018. The suspect was unable to operate the first of two vehicles because it had a manual transmission. The suspect was identified as Jordan Terry after forensic evidence gathered from the first vehicle linked Terry to the series of crimes. Video surveillance of Jordan Terry obtained from local businesses prior to the incidents was also collected.
An Arrest Warrant for Jordan Terry has been issued for the charges of TBUT or Disp Auto - $500 or more but U/$10,000 (2 counts) and Kidnapping – Minor (1 count). Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Jordan Terry is asked to call OPD at 270-687-8888, or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 270-687-8484.

Here's what happened.
On Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at approximately 3:30 pm, the Owensboro Police Department responded to 3511 Frederica Street in reference to a report of a vehicle that was stolen with a child inside. The suspect released the juvenile, unharmed, a short distance from 3511 Frederica Street. The suspect then fled the area in the stolen vehicle, a maroon, 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera (KY/LIC: 201RVK).
Neither the vehicle nor the suspect have been located at this time, but Detectives have identified a person of interest in the case. The investigation is ongoing.
