Owensboro Police Department Respond to Terroristic Threat to Kentucky Wesleyan College Student
The Owensboro Police Department responded to a report of threats made to a student at Kentucky Wesleyan College today. The suspect was identified and is in custody.
On February 21st, 2018 the Owensboro Police Department responded to a report of threats made to a student. The student reported that she had received a message from Joshua S. Blount that he was planning to come to Kentucky Wesleyan College to carry out a list of people he wanted to kill. The student stated that Joshua had previously told her that she was number two on his list and she was concerned that other students may also be on his list.
Officers located Joshua Blount at his residence where he acknowledged that he has been having homicidal thoughts and acknowledged that he sent the message to the student. Joshua was arrested and charged with Terroristic Threatening, 2nd Degree. This case is ongoing and is being investigated further by the OPD Criminal Investigations Division.
