Owensboro's Weirdest Street Names, From A to Zev

Having lived in Owensboro almost my whole life, I like to think I know my way around. Or at least I know the areas of town based on certain street names. We have the Poet area named after famous authors, and Thoroughbred Acres is full of horse-inspired addresses.

However, some local street names seem to be a little "out there." Like, why is there one named after an Australian sweet treat? Or a baby named Dan? There is even one named after some fancy mustard! If you think Frederica is a strange name for a road, wait til you get a load of this list...

The Weirdest Street Names in Owensboro, KY

If I asked you to name the first Owensboro road you could think of, you'd probably say "Frederica St." While it certainly makes this list, it isn't the most head-scratching street name on the list.

As you may have noticed, a lot of these odd names have some correlation to horses or racing. Maybe they aren't so strange after all? Someone visiting may be very confused, but if you know your Kentucky history, they make sense, I guess. Are there any other kooky street names I should add to the list?
