Barb Birgy publishes her invaluable yard sale guide weekly, and treasure hunters gobble it up. Soon, those same treasure hunters, and then some, will have even more to "gobble up." It's the return of the Owensboro Surplus Auction.

Who can't wait? Ah, as I expected...all of you.

Owensboro Surplus Auction

I'm not kidding about the treasures you'll find at the Owensboro Surplus Auction, but these treasures are considerably larger than what you'll find at the typical yard, garage, or neighborhood sale. Kurtz Auction & Realty Company will conduct the festivities, and the items up for bid are mostly vehicles, some of them quite large. The auction will take place on Thursday, August 7th, at the Owensboro Sportscenterand will begin at 10 AM.

Owensboro Surplus Auction Items

Did I say large? A quick perusal of the list of items shows me dump trucks, F-250s, F-350s, Chevy 2500s, Chevy 3500s, passenger buses, tractors, lawn tractors, and more.

If you're coming to the Owensboro Surplus Auction with the intent to buy, you'd better bring something that hauls. A couple of police cruisers will also be on the auction block, along with a parking enforcement vehicle and a couple of Owensboro Fire Department vehicles.
