Kentucky Artist Honors Ozzy Osbourne With Stunning Tribute
Cortni Johnson has been a fan of music- all kinds of it- for as long as she can remember. However, at heart, she's a rocker. The Whitesville, Kentucky artist has always loved 'rock and roll' and she recently got the chance to honor one of its fallen giants.
News broke last week that legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne passed away at the age of 76. Osbourne's legacy, of course, transcends music. Yes, he initially made his mark as the lead singer of Black Sabbath. The band released their debut album all the way back in 1969. Ozzy then went solo and sang and rocked his way into music immortality.

In the later years of his career (specifically 2002), the 'Godfather of Heavy Metal' flipped the script a bit when he and his family endeared their way into our hearts and homes with the hilariously personal reality show, The Osbournes.
Cortni has been a fan of all those incarnations of Ozzy's career. As soon as she heard the news of his passing, she did what she does best. She grabbed her pencil and started to sketch. This is what she created to honor Ozzy.
Cortni has drawn many legendary singers and pop culture icons. Much of her work is on display and for sale at her vendor booth at the Whitesville Mercantile.

This particular work, measuring 24 x 18 and Cortni's biggest ever, is one of her favorites. It's someone else's too. She's already sold it to another huge Ozzy Osbourne fan. Cortni says, "The person who’s buying it will definitely take a piece of my heart and soul. It took me four 12-hour days to finish him."
But, if you're an Ozzy fan, there's some good news for you. Cortni will happily draw an Ozzy tribute for you. You can reach out to Cortni through her booth's official Facebook page. The name of her booth and business is Three Little Birds.
