New Western KY Convenience Store Donates to Area Rescues

This warms my pet lovin' heart and I think it will yours too! Take 10 Market held 'Pumps for Paws' in April to benefit Saving Paws Animal Rescue of Kentucky and the Owensboro Humane Society. Just pumping gas gave hope one tail at a time. The impact left is nothing short of amazing!

Neglected animals enter shelters nationwide every year. I can't wrap my head around it. Who can mistreat and abandon animals? It happens to dogs of all breeds, sizes, and shapes. They come in desperate need of shelter, care, and love. Luckily, the Owensboro Humane Society and Sparky staff step in to help and save lives. They are giving these poor souls a fighting chance. But, all of this life-saving work takes money. A lot of money! Luckily people like Rohit Patel have rallied around the mission.

TAKE 10 MARKET MAKES SIZABLE DONATION

Throughout April, Take 10 Market did something special to celebrate their grand opening in Owensboro. They hosted an event to fund lifesaving programs for homeless pets. The business rolled out its 'Pump for Paws' program. They donated 10 cents of every gallon sold to two worthy animal shelters.

Over $11,000 was raised. Let that set in for a moment. OVER $11,000.

WAYS TO DONATE TO AREA ANIMAL SHELTERS

If you can't adopt, there are many other ways you can make a difference for Western Kentucky homeless animals. Don't forget that local shelters always need donations. Beyond monetary donations, you can always drop off dog or cat food. Cat litter, dog beds, food/water dishes, treats, along with towels and blankets. You can always reach out to the shelter directly to see what's needed most at any given moment. You can mail a check directly to the shelter as another good option. Reach out to any local shelter today! Homeless animals depend on it.
