The United Way of Perry County knows how to have a dang good time for a dang good cause. We recently joined them for their annual EPIC blueberry pie eating contest, and I am not lying when I say it was like something from a movie. Thankfully, NOT Stand by Me. More like Big Fish or something from the Hallmark channel.

Now, their next delicious fundraiser kicks off this week to support the Tell City Regional Arts Association. A cause near and dear to my heart, they encourage folks of all ages to enjoy and participate in art forms from music to theater to visual arts and crafts. As a creative kid turned creative adult, I could talk for hours about how the arts change lives for the better.

Through events and workshops the TCRA hosts, they make Perry County a more beautiful place. Literally!

AND! They are making some major progress on a project that will be a huge benefit to the community.

For the first time ever, Perry County Pizza Week kicks off this Thursday, October 1st, and runs through October 8th. Ten restaurants are participating and cooking up some AMAZING-looking pizzas sold at $15 each. One dollar per pizza will go to Tell City Arts! Sounds like a pretty good excuse not to cook for 8 days if you ask me!

I LOVE the variety too! Here's what is being served up:
