We all feel nostalgia for "the good ole days," especially during the Christmas season. Now, "the good ole days" mean different time periods for different people, of course. For me, it would be the 80s and 90s. As a kid with no care in the world other than cartoons, playing, and reading books. *sigh...*

Pizza Hut Nostalgia

Is it just me, or were fast-food and chain restaurants also better back then? I know one in particular that I would give anything to see brought back to its former glory. Pizza Hut. I know I'm not alone in this because just in the past week, I have seen retro Pizza Hut videos on TikTok  Here's one of a garage that was turned into a retro Pizza Hut time capsule.

They even have a set of rubber Land Before Time puppets! While we can't show up at this person's house to play Galaga, we have a pretty great alternative just down the road. I had no idea until a friend of mine made an amazing accidental discovery.

David Martin shared, "Shout out to the Pizza Hut Classic in Beaver Dam for keeping it real! We stopped last night to get some carryout and I felt like I had stepped back in time and was a kid again! I wish more restaurants (McDonald's) would embrace nostalgia."

Pizza Hut Classic Jukebox & Arcade Games

He told me he didn't know it was going to be old-school until he walked inside. "It literally took me back in time to when I was younger and enjoyed going to Pizza Hut with my parents or for my friend's birthday parties. My nostalgia meter was off the chart! LOL" Just looking at the photo he took, I can smell the garlic and cheese. I can hear the jukebox playing and Ms. Pac-Man beeping.

Pizza Hut Book It Memories

While this Pizza Hut Classic doesn't have a jukebox or arcade games, it is special in that it is one of only four locations in Kentucky and Indiana that are basically a time machine of deliciousness. The Beaver Dam location has a poster on the wall with a collection of Book It! buttons. Remember when we were bribed with pizza to read books?

And the food looks CRAZY good! I'm not sure if the servers still bring out pitchers of pop, but they do still use the iconic plastic red cups. I feel like soft drinks just taste better out of those cups. While you won't find a full buffet, the Beaver Dam Pizza Hut Classic still offers a salad bar.
