Project Runway Designer Laura Kathleen Planck Has Western Kentucky Ties

Lifetime's Project Runway features a contestant, Laura Kathleen Planck, who graduated from Western Kentucky in 2007 with a degree in design, merchandising and textiles.

She moved back to her hometown of St. Louis in May 2008 and began working as a full-time designer.

She is now working on her designer label, called Laura Kathleen or LK. 

On the  show she is competing for a $100,000 prize package. It airs Thursdays on Lifetime.
