About a decade ago, here in Owensboro, Kentucky, we hosted a Zombie Run. It was a 5K run with a catch- a bloody and scary one. Our competitors were chased by zombies who were trying to capture flags worn by the runners. We had hundreds of participants trying to make it through the course 'alive' and a legion of zombies chasing them through the streets.

It was a blast and we had a great time filming video promos for the event.

Here's the teaser trailer we filmed for the debut of The Run For Your Life.

For the run's second year, we wrote and filmed an original 'mockumentary' about Owensboro's unspoken 'zombie' past.

Though we ended our Zombie Run after two years, there's another zombie-themed event here in Kentucky that's been going on for nearly two decades now. It draws hundred of 'zombies' every year.

The 15th Annual Pulaski County Zombie Walk is coming up Saturday, October 4th. The walk is the centerpiece of the community's Falloween celebration. According to the event's Facebook page, Falloween is presented by the Somerset Junior Woman's Club and 'is a weekend of live music, vendors, fall family fun and ZOMBIES!"

There are some great videos on YouTube that show just how popular the event is. Think parade! But, it's a parade of the dead.
