News today from Puzzle Pieces.  The Color Blast 5K, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, March 21st, but was postponed due to COVID-19, has now been offcially canceled for the year.

Here's the announcement today posted to the Color Blast 5K Facebook page . . .

I spoke with Amanda Owen, Puzzle Pieces Executive Director, this afternoon.  She says 1200 runners had signed up for this year's event and those runners will be refunded if they ask to be so.  Participants who signed up via paper registration will be issued a refund via check if they make the request by emailing contact@puzzle-pieces.org.  Runners who signed up online will need to email the same address, but they will be refunded on the card they used to pay their regisration fee.

However, participants who do not request a refund and make that donation to Puzzle Pieces will receive the official 2020 t-shirt and a $10 voucher to use toward registration for the 2021 event, which is scheduled for Saturday, March 20th of next year.

All race sponsors have been invited to remain sponsors for the 2021 event at no extra charge as a thanks for their ongoing support of Puzzle Pieces.

If you've never been to the Color Blast 5K,  here's some footage from the 2016 event.  This will give you an idea of how much fun the start is and why you should join us.

So, we'll see you next year at the Color Blast 5K!
