If you know you'll be planning a get-together in one of our beautiful county parks in 2025, believe it or not, you need to go ahead and reserve that shelter now.

An outdoor shelter is a great option for many occasions. I've been to lots of kiddos' birthdays in local parks over the years. A shelter gives everyone a place to cool off after running around the playground. You'll have plenty of room to play games, open presents, and eat without pesky bugs all around. Shelter from inclement weather is also a plus.
Family reunions often take advantage of the convenience of a shelter. Whether you plan a big ole potluck or want to cook on the charcoal grills provided, you'll have a grand ole time catching up with everyone and every shelter is stocked with picnic tables for folks to enjoy their meals and watch the youngsters play.
Both the County and City parks have opened reservations for park shelter for 2025. I know that may seem early, but they go quickly! According to the Daviess County Fiscal Court's Facebook page,
