Ronald McDonald is 48?

Wow!  I had no idea because I thought he was like all the other loveable cartoon characters, I thought he didn't age.  Boy was I wrong.  After reports came out the fast-food giant was putting $1billion into a makeover for its restaurants, critics have followed up with the argument Ronald should should be retired.  NEVER!  I can remember about twelve years ago, all these commercials popped up with Ronald acting hip and it was for the Big and Tasty (yes, it's still on the menu); it was really weird, but when Ronald McDonald was originally created, let's just say, things were quite different (and very scary!)

Yes folks, that's long-time NBC Today Show weather man, Willard Scott as the original Ronald McDonald.  Still hungry or are you frightened beyond belief?
