Kentucky School Bus Driver Shares Tips on How to Battle This Week’s Heat Wave
This heat wave is especially concerning for the parents of children and teens who ride the bus to school. Did you know that temperatures on a school bus can get up to 130 degrees? According to Stephanie Pierce, a school bus driver in Daviess County, they can and will all this week.
Stephanie's not a fan of sweating, but admits that she's pretty much soaked by the time she gets home each day around 5pm.
So, the popular Route 61 driver is sharing some important bus safety tips on how to combat this week's high heat and humidity. As Stephanie says, "I just want to help out and give some reminders and hints to help children stay comfortable on the bus."
Stephanie, who developed the list with her friend Amanda Clark, says, 'I hope this will help out." She adds, "I love having each kid on my bus and I believe we are going to make it through this week. Route 61 clear!"
