They’ll Be Dancing in the Streets in Downtown Owensboro All Summer Long
The first time I ever saw folks dancing on the street in downtown Owensboro and heard no music, I thought I was either losing my mind or something was terribly wrong with my hearing. Fortunately, neither were true; it was just a bunch of folks having a great time on a Saturday night.
The overhaul of downtown Owensboro over the last couple has brought people back to Main Street, and the city is responding.
2nd Street Fam Jam Street Dance
This summer, folks will still be dancing in the streets, but on Friday nights as the perfect companion piece to Friday After 5. The 2nd Street Fam Jam Street Dance will bring extraordinary local talent to downtown Owensboro, and it all begins this Saturday, May 15th, with Galactic Foghorn. Every 2nd Street Fam Jam Street Dance this summer will begin at 6:30 PM and wrap up at 9 PM. There will be two Fridays that will feature no 2nd Street Fam Jam Street Dance.
Here's a look at the 2024 festivities.
