A taste of Hawaii has come to Owensboro. There's a brand new food truck here in western Kentucky and it was inspired by a family vacation to the Pacific!

Tracy Mayes, who owns and operates Momma T's- a tasty fair and festival vendor booth- has always wanted to own a food truck. She and the family recently visited the north shore of Hawaii, where they tasted Kona Coffee for the first time. To say they were hooked is an understatement! They wanted to bring Kona back to the Midwest and they have.

That decision to make Kona Coffee a Momma T's offering led to conversations about the possibility of creating an Hawaiian Shaved Coffee trailer that would also feature some well-established Momma T's staples like dye-free cotton candy and dye-free shaved ice.

Then, the plans grew even bigger. Tracy realized the need for additional breakfast trucks here in the area, so she decided she should whip up her homemade sausage gravy and biscuits and add that to the menu. Then, discussions about adding lunch and dinner options led to the decision to serve up some homemade soups as well.

The result is this- the Simply Momma T's Food Truck, which offers a diversified menu that truly offers something for everyone.
