Sons of Habit’s Breakout Year Just Keeps Getting Bigger

This morning, Chad and I got to "fangirl" over one of our favorite local bands that has had an absolute whirlwind of a year. The coolest part? It's only the beginning.

Sons of Habit members Mitchell Douglas, Hagan Edge, Dalton Daniels, and Jeffrey Parish joined us to chat about the wild ride they've been on the past several months. (Noah Patrick couldn't join us, but we won't hold it against him!)

From Lexington to L.A., Sons of Habit's Wild Ride

They shared stories about playing iconic venues like The Troubadour in West Hollywood, selling out The Burl in Lexington, to upcoming tour stops with Dustin Lynch and Scotty McCreery. If you missed it, keep scrolling to listen!

Sons of Habit Drops New Song, Fool's Gold

Today, they debuted their new song Fool's Gold, and y'all, it's PURE gold. So catchy, clever lyrics, beautiful harmonies that make it impossible not to sing along, and as always, the musicianship is on point. It sure did sound great over those airwaves, didn't it? Something I love about how these fellas write and perform is that with every listen, you hear something new. The harmonica, the background vocals, the interesting guitar solos, and I am way too impressed with Hagan's whistling. Lol! Can't get over it.

Don't be Nervous! We're Nervous Too!

Their authentic sound is making some serious waves in the music industry, and they haven't even been together a year yet! All of the guys agreed that they are just trying to soak in every surreal moment. Fans come up to them and are so nervous to meet them, and they're like, "Don't be nervous, we're nervous too!"

Just so down to earth and sweet as can be. So far, they've done their cross-country traveling in a van! Putting in the work and the miles, and grateful for every second. Even vehicle troubles don't get them down because Dalton doubles as lead guitar and mechanic!

Seriously, though, this success couldn't happen to a better group of guys. This morning, I went from fan girl to feeling like a mama bird wishing them all the happiness and adventure the world has to offer. They are the Sons of Habit, and I know there are LOTS of Mamas of Habit, Papas of Habit, Aunts of Habit, Cousins, friends, fans, etc., and we are all rooting for you!
