The 2nd Annual Power of the Purse is a unique event offering ticketed guests live and silent auction items including over 50 luxury purses, get-away packages, art pieces, and much more. Included in your ticket prices will be dinner, refreshments, cash bar, and live music.
A BEAUTIFUL BACKDROP
The event is set to take place at Weatherberry here in Owensboro. If you aren't familiar with the property picture a gorgeous farmhouse set to the scene of the botanical gardens in the background.
WHAT'S ON THE MENU
Of course, no event is complete without a yummy meal and this one is no exceptions dinner will include: a shrimp boil with seafood, simmered veggies and "luscious" southern desserts!

Your attendance for Power of the Purse guarantees that St. Vincent de Paul will continue its ministry of direct aid to neighbors in need. Kentucky statistics shows our state ranks 47th nationally in women in poverty; 20.6% women in KY aged 18 and older live in poverty, working-age
women are at a 17.3% poverty rate. Nearly 50% of Kentucky children live in low-income homes despite the state’s efforts to improve the child welfare system; 22% of Kentucky children live in poverty compared to 16% nationally. Four of the 10 worst cities to be a woman in Kentucky are part of the 32 county area we serve. Proceeds raised will help St. Vincent de Paul break barriers in the fight against women and poverty.
