If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, you should see the new show at Theatre Workshop of Owensboro. Twinderella opens tonight and it is an adorable re-telling of one of the most famous fairy tales of all time.

Directed by Education Coordinator, Calli Whitmore, the youth program at T.W.O. is the star of the show. School-age kiddos have been working for weeks to learn their lines. After perfecting their props and costumes to bring each character to life, they are ready to take the stage.

Twinderella is such a fun and clever story. According to the Theatre Workshop website, "This funny take-off on the beloved fairy tale finds Cinderella and her long lost twin brother on a quest to get themselves invited to The Royal Ball.  With the aid of their Fairy Godmother and, of course, THE GODFATHER, the pair is literally a hit when Cinderella smacks a home run in the ALL-KINGDOM BASEBALL GAME!"

If you have a kiddo who would like to be involved in community theatre, you can also reach out at the number or website above. I have been a volunteer since I was in the 5th grade and my 10-year-old son has loved the opportunities he's had there to act and make friends. It can do wonders for a child's self-esteem and happiness.
