In 2005, Nashville music industry executive, Rod Harris raised $150,000 to have a bronze statue of the late Minnie Pearl cast and he originally intended it be placed in the town square of Pearl's hometown of Centerville, TN. However, after some disagreements with the city government over where the statue would go, Harris decided to take Minnie on the road to various locations in and around Cente
