National Flip Flop Day is Friday, June 21st and two public pools in Owensboro are celebrating!

In a press conference held at the pool Tuesday evening, Owensboro Mayor Tom Watson announced Cravens Pool, which in danger of shutting down, will be open this summer.

Several Owensboro residents showed up Monday afternoon outside of City Hall to protest the closing of Cravens Pool on the west side of Owensboro in Mechanicsville.  I had a  chance to talk with some of those residents.  Here's what they had to say.
