I absolutely love going to the races!  Especially the Wiener Dog races at Ellis Park.  They just happen to be going on this Saturday.

As a way of saying thanks to the men and women who have, and those who currently, put their lives on the line so the rest of us can enjoy our freedom, Ellis Park is inviting them out this Saturday for a day of live racing action and a free meal.

It's hard to believe, but the 2012 season of horse racing at Ellis Park is set to come to a close this weekend!  Labor Day Weekend is the final weekend of action at the Henderson track, but Ellis Park plans to close out 2012 with three more exciting, action-packed days...

Saturday was a great day at Ellis Park. For starters, after a week of sweltering heat and stifling humidity, the weather was terrific--warm but not very humid at all. And folks came from everywhere to watch the camels and ostriches.

It'll be like a scene from Madagascar--camels and ostriches joining the thoroughbreds for live racing action at Ellis Park this Saturday afternoon! No penguins, though.
