Friends of Sinners Recovery Program will be hosting their annual Unchained concert at Chautauqua Park this Saturday.

The Greater Owensboro Realty Company is hosting the 2nd Annual Greater Owensboro Realty Golf Tournament to benefit Friends of Sinners on Friday, August 4.

Friends of Sinners is hosting a family field trip fundraiser at Legacy Church Parking Lot today from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Cornerstone Campus Ministry located on the Owensboro Community and Technical College Campus will host a sale benefiting two amazing non-profit organizations in the Owensboro Community this Saturday.

Today is National Joe Day.  I decided it would be most appropriate to pay tribute to my husband and the amazing man he is for our family and anyone he meets.

The story of Gideon's Army in the bible tells of the Lord saying to Gideon he will provide victory over the Midianites army (thousands of men) with just 300 chosen men.  The men were successful and defeated the large army!  This story ignited a fundraising fire inside, Joe Welsh, director of Friends of Sinners.

This past weekend while many went about their normal everyday lives local Inmates from Dismas Charities, Residents from St. Benedicts Homeless Shelter, Lighthouse Recovery, and Friends of Sinners got what some would call a blessed "Spiritual" experience.

Friends of Sinners is a Christ-centered residential substance recovery program here in Owensboro.  The program focuses on the restoration and reconciliation of men and women to Christ through biblical truths, accountability, and life skills.

Friends of Sinners will be hosting 'UNCHAINED' Concert in Chautauqua Park on Saturday, September 24, from 10:30 a.m.-9 p.m.  Festivities will kick off with a Benefit Motorcycle Ride at 8:30 a.m. and continue throughout the entire day from a prayer circle, a variety of musical acts, silent auction, inflatables, food, and lots of fun.

I had the opportunity to hang out with Julius Maddox from Friends of Sinners a Christ-Centered Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation facility here in Owensboro. Julius is well-known for his size and great strength but most importantly for his story.  He came from a childhood of drugs, alcohol, and plenty of wrong decisions. But he has turned that all around in a "powerful" way.
