Breathtaking. It's corny, but I couldn't think of anything else to say. Kentucky's 102-90 win over Indiana last night, at times, simply took my breath away. 192 points were scored in a game that only featured 14 turnovers. That is flat-out unbelievable! Seriously, it's a shame that someone had to lose.

In a basketball-lovin' world, we are all deeply entrenched in March Madness mania--so much so, that I immediately knew what was about to happen the minute I walked up the sidewalk this morning.

It was a week ago tonight that I said, on Facebook, "If these first two games are any indication, we're in for a pretty nice tournament." I was referring to the huge comeback wins for Western Kentucky and BYU in last Tuesday's play-in games. Sure enough, the opening weekend was full of upsets. And the coming weekend will feature one doozy of a rematch.

The last thing anyone wants before a big game like Kentucky/Indiana is a distraction. But, I'm hoping the recent news that John Calipari doesn't plan to stay at UK longer than 10 years won't be very distracting, if at all, since that decision has no effect whatsover on his current players or any potential Wildcat 12 years old or older.
