The event of the summer is coming back to Muhlenberg County this summer. Hundreds of vintage vehicles will make their way to Downtown Central City, meat masters will be smokin' up some mouth-watering bbq, or you can sample the food truck vendors.
Holly J's Bar & Grill, a new food, drink, and entertainment venue opened in Central City recently. The family-owned restaurant offers casual dining, a sports bar, weekly specials, live entertainment, an extensive menu, and ice-cold beers. It's the new hot spot in Muhlenberg County. David Kelley was a graduate of Daviess County, class of 1989, who now lives in Muhlenberg County. He was recently diagnosed with cancer, and there was a benefit held to help offset his medical expenses.
I'm not sure any of the communities affected by the December 11th tornadoes in Western Kentucky will ever be the same, however, in Bremen, a town of 350 residents that lost 11 in Muhlenberg County, students returned to the elementary school after an extended holiday break on Tuesday to some special guests and some much-needed fun.
