Kentucky Singer-Songwriter Kelsey Hart Hits the Charts and The Grand Ole Opry Stage
Early last year, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky native Kelsey Hart shared some exciting news. After years of singing and songwriting in and around Nashville, he landed a record deal with Curb Records, where he had scored a publishing deal a few years earlier.
It was 2020 when Kelsey signed that publishing contract and ended up having songs recorded by Jake Owen, Trace Adkins and Dylan Scott. Now, he's joined Dylan as an official label mate.
The artists on Curb's roster are some of the most popular names in country music: Dylan Scott, Lee Brice, Rodney Atkins and, now, Central City's Kelsey Hart. To give you an indication of the impact Curb Records has had, check this out. The label was founded in 1964 and has achieved 435 #1 records, over 1500 Top Ten records and has charted over 4500 records from artists like Tim McGraw, Hank Williams Jr., LeAnn Rimes, The Judds, Jo Dee Messina and more. I have a hunch Kelsey's about to add to those already impressive numbers.
Kelsey's first release with Curb- "Life Without You"- is currently climbing the country charts. In fact, earlier this week, it moved up to #50 on Mediabase.
If you haven't had the chance to hear it yet, here's the video for it.
Kelsey is also getting ready for some exciting tour stops. Later this month, he's opening for Dwight Yoakam in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Chandler, Arizona. Then, June 28th, he will make his debut at The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
Kelsey joined Mary-Kathrine Maddox and me on our morning radio show to chat about all the exciting things happening with his rapidly blossoming country music career.
