This weekend will be a big event as Windy Hollow Speedway celebrates their 50th anniversary. The community will come together for a car show, bicycle races for the kids, delicious food, bouncy houses and of course, great racing.

Dedicated racers, who represent the best of racing, will compete head-to-head at Windy Hollow Speedway this summer and you don't want to miss a second of it!

UPDATE: Daviess County Coroner, Jeff Jones has confirmed that Ryan Peters, 21 of Owensboro, past away due to internal injuries after an accident at Windy Hollow Speedway, Sunday, September 8th.

I noticed a lot of Facebook chatter late Sunday night (September 8th) regarding an accident at Windy Hollow Speedway in Owensboro. Many were discussing the event as "tragic" and were asking for prayers. As of 10:26pm Sunday night, the Daviess County Sheriff's office could only confirm that there was an accident at WHS.
