Owensboro City Commissioner Pam Smith-Wright created this initiative six years ago and, according to her, "It’s something you do for someone else and they never know who did it. It can be as easy as paying for someone else’s food in the checkout, mowing a neighbor’s yard. It’s a simple act of kindness to an anonymous person.”

Various Owensboro business, like WBKR, are using their marquees to promote trhe campaign and dates.  Give a Hand, Pay it Forward runs from August 1st through August 15th.
