Today is National Dog Day all over the world and we're all coming together to pay tribute to those furry four-legged (or three-legged) friends we call family.

Angel here and there isn't a time in my life I haven't had a dog.  Growing up we always had at least one but most of the time more.  Dogs have a way of making the world a better place to live.

Our family has two doodles Layla (4), and Lilly (1).  They are totally opposite in personality but just as lovable all the same.  Layla is very motherly and a complete people pleaser.  She spends most of her days (if I had to guess) wondering how she can make the rest of us in the house happy.  She is always happy to offer a friendly paw or a swipe (a quick lick of the tongue) whenever you are in need of it.  She senses anxiety and rushes to comfort anyone she knows is going through tough times.  She adores my husband Joe and gets overly excited about riding in the Pathfinder with momma (me).

Lilly or Liliphant or Tillard all the things we call her is a hot rotten mess if there ever was one.  The best way I can describe Lilly is she's like having your first child and them being perfect, sleeping through the night, doing all the right things and you're like "hey let's have another kid" and then you get Lilly.  She is crazy.  In all the good ways.  She doesn't realize she's huge.  She's messy and she gets into everything but oh how she loves us.  She loves to cuddle and lay her head on your shoulder when she's riding in the car.  She also loves to annoy the cats.  She isn't mean to them she just wants to chase them and kiss them and snuggle them and they aren't having any part of it.

I truly can't imagine our lives without these two and I know by the number of photos we received you all love your pups too.  We decided to put together a sweet little photo gallery of some of the ones you shared.  If you are just finding out it's National Dog Day head over to the WBKR Facebook Page and share a photo of your pooch with us.

Products You Need For Your Wet Dog

Letting your dog outside when it's rainy can be a hassle because you have to dry them off when they come back inside to avoid them getting everything muddy and wet in your house.
