Twin Lakes Ice Creamery & Inn in Leitchfield

Angel here and the family and I traveled to the Rough River this weekend for a little getaway. We discovered the most delicious little ice cream shop and inn in Leitchfield.

Twin Lakes Ice Creamery and Inn is literally the stuff dreams are made of. It's located right outside the center of Leitchfield on Main Street.

They make all their ice creams homemade right in the shop. They have around 19 different flavors including the classic (strawberry, chocolate, vanilla) and then the outside-of-the-box specialty flavors like (red velvet, cookie monster, fairy dust, and banana pudding). Their claim to fame...they don't fluff their ice cream to get more out of the batch. It is packed full of goodness.

My favorite desserts available were handmade cakes. They are just like ice cream cakes you see at other ice cream shops but better. You get to choose from Cookie Monster, Banana Pudding, Birthday Cake, Cookies & Cream, and Reese'. You can also have a cake made to order with your favorite flavor.

You can even have a party at the creamery. They have a few party rooms that are made perfect for a small guest list. Charlotte even said she'd love to have her next birthday party there because she could have all the ice cream she wanted LOL.

The best part about this place is hidden upstairs about the ice cream shop is a set of rooms for guests to rent by the night. Each room is named after an ice cream on the menu and has its own bathroom, sitting area, and adorable decorations and can be made available upon a reservation.

Even more exciting they have recently opened a new shop in Beaver Dam and have plans to add another in Western Kentucky.
