Save this date!  Friday, August 11th from 7am to 5pm.  The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center is bringing the Bloodmobile to the WBKR parking lot and we are hosting a very special "eclipse" blood drive!

As you likely know by now, the solar eclipse will occur on Monday, August 21st and Hopkinsville, Kentucky is expected to have THE best viewing of the eclipse in the country.  And with multiple eclipse festivals and thousands upon thousands of eclipse viewers headed to western Kentucky, WKRBC wants to be prepare in the event of medical emergencies.

So, the week of the solar eclipse, WKRBC is hosting a series of blood drives in and near Hopkinsville.  But we are getting a jump on that effort by hosting an "eclipse" blood drive here at the WBKR studios at 3301 Frederica Street!

It will be Friday, August 11th from 7am to 5pm.  The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center provides blood supply to a variety of hospitals in the WBKR listening area, including Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
