Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center Hosting Second Rare Bourbon Raffle
A couple of months ago, the Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center hosted a rare bourbon raffle to raise funds for a brand new Bloodmobile. Tickets for the raffle were just $10 a piece and tickets were completely sold out for a chance to win one of six different bottles of bourbon. So, because of the success of their first attempt and the cost of a new bloodmobile (roughly $368,000), WKRBC has popped the top on another raffle. This one is a winner-take-all raffle for one elusive and rare bottle of Pappy Van Winkle! It's a 23-year-old bottle and the stakes are high!
If you'd like to purchase raffle tickets, stop by the WKRBC office on Old Hartford Road in Owensboro. Tickets for this chance to win are $20 each and 500 tickets total will be sold. The grand prize drawing will be held on Thursday, December 17th. I co-hosted the last bourbon raffle and I have signed on to do this one as well. I cannot wait to see who the lucky winner is going to be!
Of course, as the post above mentions, you MUST be at least 21-years-old in order to purchase a ticket. So, good luck to you! Or should I say, "Cheers!"
The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center has been serving the WBKR listening area since 1978. They're located at 3015 Old Hartford Road here in Owensboro. They're open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:30am-5:30pm, Tuesdays from 8:30am-8pm and Fridays from 8:30am-4:30pm.
