First Three Finalists Named for the Friday Night Fight Talent Contest in Owensboro
Our first audition for the 2022 Friday Night Fight presented by the Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center is in the books. Last Friday evening (June 3rd), we had our first open audition on the Ruoff Party Stage on the Pier at the Owensboro Convention Center. Three of the participating acts scored high enough to advance to the grand finale event, which will be held on Friday, August 12th. Here they are in order of how they finished in the standings Friday night.
3RD PLACE- HAPPINESS JONES
The guys from Happiness Jones represent Owensboro, Utica and, yes, Michigan! They earned their spot in the Friday Night Fight finale with a rousing rendition of "Keep Me in Mind" by the Zac Brown Band.
2ND PLACE- EMMALEE CHINN
EmmaLee Chinn is no stranger to the Friday Night Fight. She was our 2021 runner-up and secured her spot in the 2022 final with a stirring performance of Dolly Parton's "Jolene."
1ST PLACE- UNCHARTED
And Uncharted won the night with their rendition of "Hurricane" by Band of Heathens. They were phenomenal and even got rousing cheers from some family members who were watching from their boat in the river.
Now, the second and final Friday Night Fight open audition is set for Friday, July 15th.
Only fifteen spots are available for that audition and many are already reserved. If you are 13 are older and think you have what it takes to contend for the title and our grand prize, sign up here!
