I'm ready to turn my attention toward springtime, aren't you? I'm especially ready to get into my spring road trip headspace. I've got a whole lot of ideas swirling through my noggin, and I've just added one to the list.

Indiana Vacations

I'm not averse to a "long" short road trip. By that I mean, I don't mind driving a couple of hundred miles for a worthy destination. I love driving; it is not an issue. And if a destination contains the word "paradise," that's more than enough to qualify as worthy. So I've set my sights on the Hidden Paradise Campground in St. Paul IN. It's about 44 miles southeast of Indianapolis on Interstate 74, and it looks like the kind of place where you can decompress in any way you see fit.

Hidden Paradise Campground

If you're thinking, "Well, 'campground' means 'RV'," it's not necessary. Don't get me wrong; Hidden Paradise and its 183 RV sites will welcome your motorhome or travel trailer with open arms. And if you don't have one, drive your vehicle to Hidden Paradise and rent one of their six cabins.

But if you just want to go for a day of fun, Hidden Paradise understands and offers day passes so you and your whole family can enjoy an exciting day of swimming and inflatables. I'm particularly intrigued by the Floating Trampoline. Guests may also rent kayaks and explore Flat Rock River, or they can choose paddle boats for an excursion onto Dream Lake. And, by all means, don't forget your fishing gear.

If you're looking for a getaway and want to go where you've, perhaps, never gone, or you're wanting something brand new, Hidden Paradise Campground in St. Paul IN probably won't stay "hidden" too long.
