Animatronic Zoo & Dinosaur Experience Comes to Town

Lions, Dinosaurs, and Cookies? Sounds Like a Pretty Great Day for the Kids!

Picture a 40-foot King Cobra towering over Lowe's Home Improvement, with a T. rex roaring somewhere nearby. That's the scene headed for the tri-state this summer!

Wild Adventures: A Smart Zoo Experience is rolling into a Lowe's Home Improvement parking lot near you! Owensboro, Henderson, Madisonville, Jasper IGA on 2nd Street, Vincennes, and Mount Vernon are bringing a strange and wonderful mashup with giant animatronic animals, life-sized dinosaurs, and a full slate of hands-on activities. Kids can walk right up to lions, tigers, elephants, pandas, and monkeys, all moving, all roaring, all looking close enough to touch. The dinosaur lineup holds its own, too, with T. rexes, raptors, and triceratops that look like they escaped a movie set.

The activities go beyond just looking. At the fossil dig pits, kids can dig for their own discoveries. Step into the virtual reality aquarium, and you're suddenly swimming alongside sea creatures without getting a drop of water on you. There's also a soft play space for the littlest visitors, photo ops, and face painting for anyone who wants to leave looking like their favorite animal.

Admission is five dollars and includes a fresh-baked cookie from I Heart Cookies.

Whether your little ones are obsessed with dinosaurs, fascinated by animals, or simply looking for something fun to do during summer break, this looks like a great way to spend an afternoon together!

The Wild Adventures experience will stop at Lowe's Home Improvement locations in Madisonville on June 21st (2 PM - 7 PM), Owensboro on June 22nd (2 PM - 7 PM), Henderson on June 23rd (2 PM - 7 PM), Jasper at IGA on 2nd Street on June 24th (2 PM - 7 PM), and Vincennes on June 25th (2 PM - 7 PM), with additional tri-state appearances planned throughout the tour.
