Winter Weather Advisory in Effect for Parts of Tristate [Forecast]
The National Weather Service has placed parts of the WBKR listening area under a Winter Weather Advisory. Parts of the tristate could see between one-tenth to one quarter inch of ice.
From the National Weather Service:
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 6pm Tuesday evening through 6am CST Wednesday morning.
Mixed precipitation expected. Total wet snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of up to two tenths of an inch are expected. The Winter Weather Advisory affects all of southwest Indiana, southeast Missouri, and southern Illinois, and that portion of west Kentucky along and north of a Fulton to Calhoun line.
Forecasts believe the ice will result in difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute on Wednesday. Be prepared for reduced visibility at times. A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility, and use caution while driving. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
