This week, the Owensboro Women's Guild is preparing for their 2024 Spring Luncheon.  The event has been a community staple for the past 83 years!

The Women's Guild of Owensboro

This longstanding group is comprised of 80 active members. They are local philanthropy-focused women who join forces to raise money for local non-profits organizations.  This beautiful Spring luncheon which is hosted at a different member's home each year, is always their biggest fundraiser. Past recipients of funds raised include Community Dental Clinic, Oasis, Opportunity Center, Senior Community Center just to name a few.

Along with the tradition of giving, there are many other traditions that attendees look forward to each year. Enjoying a beautiful home tour, gorgeous floral arrangements, socializing with friends, live music from Owensboro Symphony musicians, and local artists like Katie Lowing, Iris Gentry, and Isabel Wethington selling their wares.

The menu even has staples that are so delicious, they remain unchanged. All guild members participate in making the event a success whether they're setting tables, making chicken salad, or serving the iconic sweet tea, you'll recognize them by their beautiful white lace aprons.
