If there's a type of ethnic cuisine that I have not yet tried, I am ready, willing, and able to dive in anytime. My first experience with Thai food, for example, was here in Owensboro, and it made me a lifelong fan.

The thing is, it's not the easiest thing in the world to have all of the possible kinds of ethnic cooking within reasonable driving distance. But once they become reasonable, I will be there.

Yak & Yeti Himalayan Cuisine

I've always wanted to check out Yak & Yeti on Green River Road in Evansville. I see it in passing while I have other things to do. It's all about Himalayan cuisine, and I want to try it. However, if I wait long enough, I may not have to drive to Evansville. I might be able to get it right here in Owensboro.

Yak & Yeti Coming to Owensboro?

I say "might" because the status of Yak & Yeti opening in the old Ernesto's location in Wesleyan Park Plaza is somewhere above 97% and somewhere beneath 100% confirmed. Our buddy, Mike Chaney, who operates the Owensboro Foodies page on Facebook and posted this a few days ago.

Mike knows his stuff, but I can't say it's absolute just yet. (Or should I say "just yeti"?) But that hasn't stopped me from getting excited about it.

Our friend, Eyewitness News Meteorologist Joe Byrd, visited the Evansville location a few years ago and was quite pleased.
